CFED is offering an opportunity to join a short-life facilitated reading group.
*Do you struggle to make sense of organisational dynamics, and feel the need to develop your understanding of these so as to be more effective at work?
*Do you enjoy exploring ideas and sharing views with others about how they can be applied to practice?
*Do you want to think more about human relations at work, and the way that interactions between individuals, teams, departments and organisations impact on the quality of the services?
*Do you find it hard to make the time to keep yourself updated about current thinking about leadership, authority, teamwork, managing change, organisational culture?
The reading group – a pilot It is proposed that the group will meet on 4 occasions during April to July, dates to be confirmed. A text will be selected for each session and sent out to participants in advance to allow time for reading. Each session will be 2.5 hours – to allow time to focus on the text and to explore applications.
There will be 6 places available in the group. The fee will be: £134.00 plus vat This reading group is an initial pilot and will be evaluated. It is intended that the results of the evaluation will inform plans for future reflective groups of this kind. Participants will be asked to take part in some evaluative activity and the fee for the pilot reflects this.
The facilitator The facilitator is Deborah Clow, an experienced organisational consultant, working with individuals, groups and teams in the human services. Deborah has worked in a variety of practitioner, managerial and consultative roles within health and social care organisations, and now works independently. She has a MA in Organisational Consultancy from the Tavistock and has a keen interest in developing ideas about what makes for healthy organisations.
